Our 2026–27 Annual Fund campaign is underway and runs through Giving Tuesday, December 1. It is the only time all year we ask families for money — and it pays for everything the school budget does not.

Every gift counts toward our $30,000 goal, and participation matters more than the amount. $175 per family is our suggestion — give what works for you, and your family is part of it.
Better together, every day.
Every day at Bowen, our children are learning, discovering and connecting. From tackling engineering challenges during STEAM Week to discovering new favorite books in the library, our Bowen Bobcats are actively engaged, curious, and inspired. The Bowen PTO helps make so much of that possible. Because at Bowen, we know that we are better together.
Newton Public Schools funding only covers the district’s educational essentials, not the full breadth of what our educators and community provide. Our PTO helps fill the gaps by funding academic enrichment programs, classroom resources, teacher grants, and community events that define our children’s time at Bowen. We support our teachers and staff, bring special programming directly into the classrooms, and foster the traditions that make our school a connected and caring home.
This year, our goal is to raise $30,000 through our Annual Fund. We suggest an annual contribution of $175 per family, but every donation of any amount makes an immediate impact. Plus, thanks to your support of the Annual Fund, PTO community events have no entry fees this year — ensuring every Bowen student and family can fully participate.
Where your gift goes.
Academic enrichment across all grade levels, including Creative Arts & Sciences (which brings professional authors, musicians, and performers to school), STEAM Week, and our beloved Science Fair.
Direct funding, including Teacher Mini-Grants for innovative classroom projects and experiences, essential classroom supplies, library books, and technology.
Connecting our community through signature events and traditions with no entry fees: the Welcome Back Picnic, Boo-ween Halloween Party, Spring Carnival, Adult Mystery Social, Book Fair, and spirit wear. We also provide confidential family support to ensure every Bobcat can take part in all school activities.
Celebrating and thanking our dedicated educators and staff throughout the year with appreciation meals, lounge treats, and Teacher Appreciation Week.
