Drop-off & pick-up: the Blue Zone
The Blue Zone is for quick drop-off and pick-up. Children need to get in and out of the car, manage their seatbelt, and open and close the door on their own — drivers stay in the car. If your child can't do this independently yet, please use another arrangement.
Parking
Park on Langley Path or the odd-numbered side of Cypress Street; two accessible spaces are available. Please don't park in the Blue Zone during arrival and dismissal, in staff lots, or in the bus lane (except vehicles with a disability placard).
School supplies
Supply lists for grades K–5 are posted each summer. Keep supplies at home until teachers ask for them.
Progress reports (Aspen)
Progress reports are posted in Aspen twice a year; you'll get a notification when your child's report is ready.
Breakfast & lunch
Massachusetts provides free school meals again in 2026–27: the first breakfast and first lunch each day are free for every student. Second meals and à la carte items are paid through MySchoolBucks, so set up your family account. Even though meals are free, please complete the Meal Benefit Application — it brings funding to Bowen and connects eligible families to benefits like Summer EBT.

Volunteering at school
Volunteers who help on school grounds or on field trips need a current CORI form on file at the main office.
